Common peroneal nerve repair and PT transfer for foot drop

A 55 year old patient developed peroneal nerve injury  due to a accident. He developed foot drop and had a limping gait. Foot sensation and posterior tibial nerve was intact . So decision was taken to explore nerve and transfer posterior tibial tendon for foot drop. Nerve was explored and neuroma in continuity was found ,which was excised and nerve grafting was done.

Posterior tibial tendon was harvested to correct the foot drop. A cast was applied for six weeks.
