32 year old accountant met with a motorcycle. He sustained motorcycle accident because of which he has function of shoulder and elbow . Triceps and biceps were paralyzed along with deltoid . He was having C 5,6,7 injury . After 6 months of injury he came to our center where he was operated . Intra operative finding were suprascapular was stimulable . Two nerve transfer were done first phrenic to axillary nerve via nerve graft. Second was Spinal accessory to musculocutaneous via nerve graft,. After one month physiotherapy was started.
Initial recovery was slow ,after one year he started showing good recovery of shoulder(M4) and reasonable of (M3) elbow flexion. He had hand function which was not very good so we are planning tendon transfer to augment hand function.
