21 year old college student who suffered upper trunk brachial plexus injury . He was operated 6 months after  the injury.
Brachial plexus was explored and upper trunk was found  have long rupture and suprascapular and upper trunk was not stimulable.
So decision to do two nerve transfer was taken.
Spinal Accessory to Supraspinatus nerve
Oberlin transfer.
After six months of physiotherapy patient started showing movements.
Shoulder movements were upto 70 degree abduction .

Oberlin procedure is done in upper trunk injuries for elbow flexion . Functioning good hand is prerequisite for this procedure. In this procedure biceps muscle is innervated by fascicle of ulnar nerve supplying FCU. In Oberlin 2 transfer  along with ulnar fascicle a fascicle of median nerve supplying FCR is also taken. It is done by a trained microsurgeon under good microscope. In good hands it gives good results with consistency.
